Why does my image have little or no EXIF data?
Screenshots, edited images, and files shared through social or messaging apps often have metadata stripped or rewritten.
Can metadata prove that a photo is authentic?
No. Metadata is useful context, but it can be edited, removed, or regenerated and should not be treated as proof of authenticity.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Supported image processing runs locally in your browser. Third-party decoder code may be loaded only when a format needs it, but your image itself stays on your device.
